Beskrivelse
Excavations between 1964 and 1973 at the Chalcolithic fortified site of Zambujal, near Torres Vedras in Portugal, uncovered large numbers of stone and bone tools. This volume catalogues and reports on these finds, assessing the types of tools, their function and socio-economic context and their archaeological provenance. The authors also identify sources for the raw materials in order to assess levels of contact between populations and cultures, both on the Atlantic seaboard and further afield in the Mediterranean. German text, English and Portuguese summaries.
