"Young Mungo" is a colorful portrait of the working-class and the dangerous love between the two young men: Mungo and James. As a protestant and catholic they live in a divided world of hatred.They must hide their great love at all cost, especially from Mungo’s elder brother Hamish, who is a brutal local gang leader. Mungo is sent on a fishing trip in the Western Scotland with two strange men and must gather all his courage to get back to James and find a place for their love.
