Beskrivelse
In her poetry chapbook You Say My Poetry Lacks Spice, Jessica Winkler draws on her knowledge and love of modern and medieval poetry to create a sort of poetic dialectic between the writers of the past, the reader, and herself. Like a literary medium, Jessica channels the voices and spirit of respected writers, mingling their words and tone with intensely personal experiences and the experiences of the collective unconscious (the beginning of the world). You Say My Poetry Lacks Spice is an amalgamation of personal, abstract, tangible, and mystical tones and images meant to both comfort and question.
