Beskrivelse
The inaugural volume of the Yearbook proudly launches the idea of celebrating quality poetry in English published by Indian poets. The collection is bound to create a critical consciousness amongst the readers to observe the ever-evolving aesthetics of poetry in English by Indian poets. The editors, Sukrita Paul Kumar and Vinita Agrawal, have meticulously defined the process of selecting poems for this volume with a certain clarity of purpose. What lies between the covers of this volume is the fruit of that collective effort. While this is essentially an annual collection of remarkable poetry from India - an assortment of about 125 poems - it is also the ideal way to catch up with the latest poetry of both established and emerging Indian poets writing in English. The making of this Yearbook of Indian Poetry in English (2020-21), despite the gloom of pandemic times, marks a ray of hope and offers energy for healing and creativity for the future.
