Y'All's Problem

Working among beautiful undocumented immigrants in a lurid pizza restaurant, Patrick falls for Alana, 10-years his junior, soon to be married -- not the smartest of pursuits, but who can blame him once amazing Alana reciprocates? Patrick soon finds himself alone in Costa Rica, Alana's country, as beautiful and untamed as she. Awaiting her arrival in this gorgeous purgatory, Pat attempts to befriend surly Milton Chapman, a published author lost in a fog of light drugs and legal prostitution, being crushed under the weight of a fame perhaps imaginary. As much about animals (mollusks) as humans (mothers), Y'all's Problem winds through the similar ecosystems of Florida and Costa Rica until Pat, Alana and Milton finally crash together in the book's explosive conclusion. In Pat's tale, many mistakes won't be corrected. Others made at the beginning, may repeat near the end. This is not literature's typical path.
