ABOUT THE BOOK AND AUTHOR
Wuthering Heights was written by Emily Bront (1818-1848) and was first published in 1847 under her pen name Ellis Bell.
It follows the life of Heathcliff from childhood to his death in his late thirties, including life with his adopted family, his status as a servant, leaving when the woman he loves decides to marry another man and his revenge on those he believed ruined his life. Wuthering Heights is considered to be a love story as well as one of revenge
