Sometimes you need a little help finishing the story.
All I've ever wanted was to be a published author, and I'm lucky enough to be living my passion. Then my latest book flops, and my dreams dissolve before my eyes. Between imposter syndrome and writer's block, I can't find a way back into my stories. In a last-ditch attempt to save everything I've built, I take off to a cabin in the middle of nowhere.
My life takes a turn when I find I'm not as alone as I thought I'd be. Emmett's appearance isn't what I expected, yet I throw myself fully into the possibilities of a future I never dared believe in. I just want to bask in the new beginning I've found with Emmett. But my characters refuse to leave me alone. Their voices fill the silence of my mind, urging me to break free of my own personal nightmare.
Strange events take over our little slice of the world, forcing me to confront all the truths I've been hiding from. When a possible portal appears in the forest, I start to question what I've gotten myself into. While reality morphs, I'm afraid I'll end up losing everything I've worked for, including my own happily ever after.
