When a young man drops out of two different colleges in three years, his father tries to teach him the value of academic education. He arranges for his son to get a job driving a forklift in a hot, smoky drop-forge. Will the main character learn the lesson that his father intended, or is he destined to become a manufacturing laborer for the rest of his life?
