Beskrivelse
Worship is a critical discipline for the believer to engage in. True worship means fellowship with the God of the Bible who has revealed Himself both in creation and in revelation. It is revering the triune God with mind and heart in response to His greatness and what He has revealed to the human mind through His revealed word.
Why do believers worship? They should not worship to get from God; that is, to fulfill their self-centered expectations of what God can provide them. Instead, God's people should worship God to give Him praise because of all that He has done for them and to bring Him glory.
If you look throughout the Scripture, you will see that God often acts first. Then, God's people respond in faith and worship to what God has done.
Engaging in worship is an important response to God for every Christian. God has provided everything that the believer needs for his physical life here and now and his eternal salvation as well. Worship is the spiritual activity that overflows from a redeemed heart in acts of verbal praise and acts of love-concern for others that honors Christ.
