This book is a compilation of Mencius''s remarks during the Warring States Period. It records the arguing between Mencius and other schools of thought, the precepts and deeds to his disciples, and the lobbying of the princes. It conveys Mencius''s thoughts on governance and political views (benevolent governance, people-oriented, people-oriented society, and the second-ranked emperor is the lighter, etc.).
