Women's Issues: Background, Legislative and Legal Developments

During the pasts two decades, US policymakers as well as many in the international community have increasingly recognized violence against women as a significant global health, human rights and security issues. This book is a compilation of CRS reports focused on women and women's issues, including women in Congress from 1917 to 2018; legislative and legal developments in pay equity; developments in the law on sex discrimination and the United States Supreme Court; issues for Congress on women in combat; and US efforts to address global violence against women.
