Women and Class

This book recounts the origins of the modern feminist movement in the revolutionary movements of the nineteenth century. Beginning with an account of the first organized women's movement, La Soci t des Citoyennes R publicaines Revolutionnaires, on the left of the French Revolutionary movement, this book tells the story of women's movements in England, France and Germany. It is a story that has rarely been told in English.
