Willard Paine is a first-generation college graduate that takes a job with Bendix Corporation as an engineer to work on the newly invented automobile. Willard grew up in Winthrop, Massachusetts and married Marjorie Barkley, a beautiful and talented lady also from Winthrop. During World War II Willard was promoted to general manager of a new wartime division of Bendix located in Owosso, Michigan to make parts for our B-17 and B-24 bomber airplanes. Willard and his family lived in a unique home in Owosso built by James Oliver Curwood, an author of adventure stories. Join the Paine family during the war years as they make this beautiful and unique estate into their home. Their children, Carol and Bill, love living in this large home with plenty of room to play and dream.
