Kate is a young millennial who has uprooted her life in a small southwestern town with hopes of surviving the fast-paced scene in Southern California. She is struggling with grief after the loss of her father and navigating a breakup from her first true love.

When Kate accepts the offer of a lifetime and takes her dream job in San Diego, she has no idea that she has signed up for a bumpy ride that will take her in leaps and bounds beyond where she was before.
