Emily McLofflin, a successful author living in Michigan is delighted to reconnect with a childhood friend in Texas. When the friend informs Emily that a special class reunion is being planned in the fall, Emily is especially excited about participating in the "mystery" weekend event which is to held in an old mansion built in the 1800's and is now a National Historic Site. However, the weekend turns out to be more of a mystery than anyone expected when a real murder is committed on the premises. Emily finds herself deeply involved in a dilemma as she faces some serious questions about her friend as well as her own husband. The questions send Emily on desperate search for the truth as she seeks to uncover the identity of the killer.
