Impressions of the human form are revealed as gesture line drawings, pen-and-ink renderings and washes in this art only edition of Whippoorwill Calls. A male torso simultaneously demonstrates strength and sensitivity. One figure crouches in despair as another reaches skyward. One drawing in mere lines suggests movement with the swirl of a dancer. Clearly the human figure is a source of wonderment and beauty depicted much like an improvisation in jazz.
