Beskrivelse
This 36-page book for 6-12 year olds shows it is OK to be different. “Where Do Odd Socks Go?” is a metaphor for what kids perceive life to be like; a sporty kid, a skinny kid, a gay kid, a kid that is bullied, a poor kid, a smelly kid and a disabled kid. The book teases out the threads of caring, cultural difference and belonging, challenging the realities of abandonment and dogmatism. Yvonne says Odd Socks is “for the Syrian orphans”, whose terrible experiences haunted and inspired her to write a book with meaning about humanity, caring and cultural difference.
