A DNA test website showing that Gladys and Janice were biological sisters, also connects them with a long-lost cousin in the Memphis area. With the help of their cousin, newfound family is discovered and clues to their parents' past and why Gladys and Janice were abandoned as children brings them closer to the truth.
The mysterious voices continue to guide the three on their journey and visions of the past transport them in time to witness pivotal events in their parents' lives.
