Beskrivelse
Louie is a young boy who has difficulty sitting still in class. He stares out the window, rolls on the floor and makes silly noises while his classmates sit quietly. Louie's teacher thinks he isn't listening due to his apparent disengagement during lessons. When he is required to write a sentence using the sound of the week, Louie's teacher thinks he won't be able to complete it, as she thinks he hasn't been listening. Louie surprises and delights his teacher, as he has been listening. He just listens differently to other children. "When Louie Listened" touches on challenging behaviours teachers face in the classroom, the symptoms and understanding of ADHD and Autism in children, learning difficulties and disabilities, diversity and equality.
