The book When God Made You is a children's book written in a poetic form with matching illustrations geared towards a younger audience. Each page encourages children to be confident in how God made them and to know that they are special in God's eyes.
This book inspires children to know that they are unique, just the way they are and that they do not have to bend to the pressures of society to become someone or something different then how God designed them to be. The colorful illustrations captivate children's attention while the words aim to build their self-confidence and self-love in who they are and whose they are. The rhythmic poetic words on each page are designed to eventually have the child memorize each encouraging word just for them. Furthermore, when the story is over there is an affirmation page in the back of the book summarizing the inspirational words for the children to read out loud to themselves so that they can hear in their own words of positive affirmations of how wonderful and powerful God made them.
