Beskrivelse
The law of West African economic integration is more advanced than other comparable African regional integration systems. Due to its overlapping regimes, it nonetheless has the same symptomatic complexity. The book analyses this area of law, which has been up till now mostly neglected, as a multi-layered system and critically assesses its practical importance. The author outlines a theory how to coordinate international legal regimes in order to tackle norm conflicts which occur in multi-layered systems and applies it to the law of West African economic integration.
