Constable Tony Lodge is a beat bobby of the best kind - fearless, incorruptible and trusted by all. When he starts investigating the disappearance of a young woman and the murders of two more, on top of his own discovery of a paedophile ring, his blunt-speaking approach to his superiors leads to him being sidelined. But Tony smells a rat in high places, and he is soon hunting it down.
