Beskrivelse

As a child, Annette-Frances B. lived and breathed theatre, eagerly absorbing weird and wonderful true tales of daring adagio dancers, singers, magicians, snake charmers, classical musicians, spectacular costumes, dazzling scenery and... well, the list is endless.

These memories of 1930s to 1950s British variety and revue were shared with her by her theatrical family.

She no longer has those loving, charismatic characters around her, but she still has their tales and she would like to share them with you - her readers - in the hope that they will entertain and inspire.

Starting in Birmingham, England in 1917, with the characters growing up as part of a lively, hardworking and creative family, the tales move swiftly to lives spent treading the boards. Performing their unique and thrilling form of acrobatic ballet, Les Cygne Four embrace travel, both wonderful and loathsome landladies, war, tragedy and love, displaying courage and determination along the way.

Includes theatrical photographs of Les Cygne Four.
