Beskrivelse

Years have passed since the events of Indian Spirits, and Jack Whitstone thought he had beaten his mental illness. Then one day it comes sneaking back, to slowly take over his mind. At the same time, several Hispano men in Santa Fe go missing and then turn up dead. The police suspect a killer, but what kind? The chief of police invites Jack to investigate alongside the police. His investigation turns up a ghost named La llorona, who is very ancient and exceedingly powerful. For some reason she has come to Santa Fe, where she is killing at whim. It is up to Jack to stop her, one way or another. He recruits spiritualists, priests, and musicians to the cause of defeating the ghost, and faces her in terrifying hand-to-hand combat more than once, but it is clear he does not have what it takes to bring her down. He must call on the highest powers of the Indian spirits to aid him, but will they listen?
