In Fall 2016, a group of graduate students and instructor went on a learning adventure in the course - EDLT 520/620 Critical Digital Literacy. In this course, the concepts of digital literacy, digital fluency, and critical digital literacy skills were explored through creation of multimedia and digital publication. The design framework for the course that lead to this book was Participatory Course Design. With this approach, the students co-designed the course including agreeing upon the desired learning outcomes, one of which was to compile and publish a book based on the concepts of digital literacy, digital fluency, and critical digital literacy. One of the first class activities was - "Introduction: We are Superheroes " With this activity, students got to know each other and started developing a learning community.
