Waved Away

Waved Away is a coming-of-age story centered on three young friends-Billy, Emily, and Jody-growing up in the small, fading town of Schlitzboro on the gray, watery world of Balaeni. Humans colonized Balaeni centuries ago, but the vastlings-mysterious and enormous marine mammals-still call this world home.

Billy Blaster's decision to join the Star Legion takes him away from Schlitzboro, thrusting him into a world of responsibility and challenges that test not only his physical strength but his sense of purpose. Jody departs for the bustling life of Tachyon State on distant Homeworld, leaving Emily behind in the quiet of Schlitzboro, where she watches her friends step into a larger galaxy, unsure of what lies ahead for any of them.
