Watermagic

In "Little Tornado," Lily Ann, her mother, and her younger twin sisters are hiding out from Hurricane Joe, Lily's father. Lily knows she's Joe's kid because she inherited his magical abilities that allow her to control water. Sort of. While she uses her powers to keep the summer hot and rain free at the North Woods trailer park where the family is living, her struggles with Watermagic parallel her difficulties getting control of her everyday life. In "Sea Witch of the Desert," Brenda receives a mysterious magical boat for her fifteenth birthday. Able to fly, the boat leads Brenda off into the nearby desert where she faces many dangers, makes new friends, and confronts an ancient power that holds the key to her unknown past and her possible future.
