Beskrivelse
Growing up in a beautiful rural village in Ethiopia, life is care-free and enjoyable for children. Depending on the seasons, they will determine the games they will play each year. In the Bata village, near Merawi town, there is a brave boy named Bekele. He is seven years old, and he loves to observe the environment very carefully. His family calls him by the nickname "Leeku" due to his excellent watching skills. The name "Leeku" means a curious boy who always pays attention to details, and is ready to learn new things. He believes in the power of minor actions that facilitate a cumulative impact on the environment. Sometimes Leeku travels to visit relatives spread across the country. It helps him build on his knowledge about the environment and gather his data on the mystery rainwater. For this critical reason, Leeku asks his older brother and family members various questions about the environment. His view focuses mainly on water resources, which is a crucial resource for sustaining the environment and fighting poverty at large. The book presents Leeku's questions and mainly his brother's explanations in a way that is easy to understand, colorful and joyful for children.
