Water Balance Technique in Agro climatic studies

Water is a chief natural resource, for Agriculture, domestic and Industry. Water has always been intimately linked with human advancement and its role is weighted crucial for the metamorphosis of man from hunting to farming. The earliest known human civilizations were developed at places possessing stable and regular access to water, e.g., The Indus valley, the Nile valley, the Tigris River and Euphrates river valleys. The river basins provided water supply, food, fertile sediment, and easy transportation. Later, the water became an indispensable commodity for industrial development through the production of hydropower and transportation routes. Consequently, for both agriculture as well as industry, water has become a key component as a natural resource, energy producer, solvent, and transporter.
