This resource pack supports understanding of the featured commemorative events: Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, Remembrance Sunday and The Coronation of Elizabeth II. The history of each commemorative event and the reasons they are still celebrated today are investigated and discussed through the suggested activities and picture evidence in the pack. The teaching resources support the five key areas of historical learning in National Curriculum History at Key Stage 1.
