Tamsin is fourteen when her dissident parents disappear from their hidden home in the outlands of Cornwall. Although their home has been destroyed she believes her parents are still alive and she sets off on a quest to find them. She must put all the survival skills she has learnt into practice as she, her horse and her dog try and find them. It is difficult to trust any of the people she meets on her way or even to know their true identity.She is ambushed but escapes. She is given directions, but is suspicious of their provenance.
