More than an ABC book, "W is for Winter Wonderland" introduces young children to seasonal concepts and changes that winter brings. Real photographs engage children in discussing topics such as Arctic animals, evergreen trees, conifers, and snow "Conversational Extenders" throughout the book supports adults in promoting conversation, vocabulary, language, and higher-order thinking. In addition, "Literacy Links" and "Learning Extensions" provide many opportunities to explore the concept of "winter time" across the academic domains.
