In VISIBLE INSTRUMENTS, Michael Kelleher invites the reader to be mindful of these questions, and to ask what she can know, what he can do, how they might live in the present, the future. Everything "is visible" in these meditations, "like an x-ray," though that might only begin to help us understand what it all means, what we mean.
One would think an artist such as Horace
Would have already thought through these ideas.
Michael Kelleher has thought through them, with grace, humor, and a sense that words are what we do, how we envision. If it is true that we return to poems for inspiration, for "something to lift the fog or pall," then you, the reader, should return often to these poems.
