Beskrivelse
Staging practices structure all functional areas of literature: they shape figurations of authorship as well as text and writing processes - and not least the business of interpretation. Images and stagings of authorship influence the way we read texts. This anthology is devoted to these 'image-text relations': it asks how the images we have of authors and which they and others create relate to their texts. The focus is on forms and functions of intra- and extra-literary staging of authorship as well as media and mediality of staging. The historicity, typology and repertoire of forms of staging practices as well as the dynamics of innovation and imitation will be examined. The focus will be on media formats such as literature, letters, blogs, poetry lectures, comics, and photographs from the 19th century to the present.
