»Constitution and War in Constitutional History«: The relationship between constitutional orders and war has been a historical constant. Wars always have effects on the structures and functional forms of legal orders of governmental rule. The contributions in this volume examine these developmental dynamics in historical longitudinal analysis. The perspective ranges from the European High Middle Ages through the Early Modern Period and the beginning of Modernity to the present day of national and international law of war.
