Vengeance in Silver

Claire Maxwell, just graduated from her midwestern high school, takes a summer job at a guest ranch in Colorado, on the Animas River high in the San Juan Mountains. She loves the location, reachable only by the narrow gauge train from Durango that passes the ranch twice a day. As she adapts to the daily work routine, she learns of an unsolved 80-year-old mystery in this very area. Soon Claire and her new friend Grace are involved in unraveling it, as they track down clues to find out what really happened all those years ago. In looking for answers, they discover a fascinating story about a secretive prospector and his hidden silver mine, a ghost, a mysterious interloper and murder and mayhem in the canyon of The River of Lost Souls. Ultimately, they are faced with the hardest question of all: was justice done or was it the perfect crime?
