The Security Council continues to treat him as an ignorant outworlder and scoff at his ideas. Although Navbed, his archenemy, continues to be a thorn in his side, his new friends Lenvo, Kana and Qevo want to help. But can they?

When the next unfriendly visitor brings biomechanical men to help in the fight, Velvak's friends are at a loss - coming from a world which has no modern technology, they had no idea that such creatures existed. How can mere mortals defeat them with sticks and stones?
