Friday night Kiddush is said weekly by countless Jews worldwide and throughout Jewish history. Unfortunately for many, it is over almost as far as it begins, before anyone can consider the importance of its words and what they teach us about life in God's world. Kiddush on Friday night is the climax of the entire week, and it certainly feels that way once a person takes the time to understand this important mitzvah more deeply.
