Publishing rationale•A new book in the ‘Connected Communities’ series, with one of the series editors, Keri Facer, as an editor of the book. Keri Facer has strong links to researchers in the connected communities project so there should be a ready market of people involved in the project who would want to read the book•Edited by two well established and well respected academics, but including voices and perspectives from researchers and practitioners•Interdisciplinary in approach so should have wide appeal across many different subject areas •Fits within the rationale of the series, publishing books for academic audiences that are also written accessibly and may appeal more widely to practitioners Unique selling point: The book enables greater understanding of, and articulates the value of, collaborative research in the arts, humanities and social sciences.
