The Valles Caldera National Preserve consists of a 12 mile-wide collapsed volcanic crater and more than ten post collapse volcanic domes in New Mexico's Jemez Mountains. Volcanologist Fraser Goff provides an overview of the significant geological events of the area plus a summary of its geology, volcanology and geothermal charcteristics.
