Acharya Chatursen's 'Vaishali Ki Nagarvadhu' is one of the best novels in Hindi.In his words - 'I cancel all of my creations which I have composed so far and happy to announce, 'Vaishali Ki Nagarvadhu' as my only creation.'This novel is a living narration of the Indian life style. The story background is cultural and historical which is connected with the Buddhism period.The book describes about 'Amrapali', the main character of the novel, related to the contemporary Lichavi Union's capital, Vaishali.In fact, the novel describes about the clashes of democratic systems of the Kingdoms - Magadh and Vaishali.The Author here supports Vaishali. According to him an autocratic system kills all of its enemies brutally whereas in democracy the winning is not that violent.About the Author : Acharya Chatursen is not limited to any particular field of the literature, He has started writing stories and poetry since his youth time, later on his writing expanded to biographies, history, novels, plays, religious subjects and various issues in journals.He was not only a literator but a doctor (Vaidya) as well.Despite having medical background, he was very passionate towards literature.
