The book 'Urban Transformation' attempts to capture wide ranging urban issues and how these integrate into a composite framework of planning, development and governance of Indian cities.It has also a vision to develop 100 new smart cities, and is committed to provide Housing for All by the year 2022, to conserve heritage cities, and to make Indian cities, villages and rivers clean and pollution free. These missions can be either torch bearers of India's urban future or turnout as disasters.
