When Fenn's sketchbook begins to act strange-backgrounds changing, trees swaying back and forth, unfinished drawings being completed on their own-he's reluctant to tell his two best friends, Miz and Reiny. But when he doesn't meet them after school, his friends immediately suspect it has something to do with his new obsession, the Quiet Man-the stitch-mouth villain he's been drawing so much of lately.
Searching for Fenn inside the creepy, overgrown Drittsekk woods is impossible. Especially with its endless winding trails, confusing paths, and trees that come alive. Miz and Reiny soon discover they won't be simply walking out anytime soon-they're trapped now too.
When the quiet man makes his first appearance...out comes the needle and thread. But why do all the hard work himself? He can lure the three lost middle school students right to his rotted forest home with his new "pet." An enormous bear, woven together with jagged branches, poison leaves, prickly thorns, along with wooden teeth and claws that can...end friendships.
Unspeakable is the creepy follow-up to Inaudible with plenty of spine-tingling chills, creep-outs galore, and a few stitches that won't hurt-too much.
