Beskrivelse
This modest book does not propose to be a biographical of the University of Chicago professor, Dr. Mircea Eliade (1907 - 1986). It simply tries to capture the essence of his work in the domain of modern philosophy, as formulated during his research on the history of religion. An erudite polyglot, fluent in twelve languages, he formed generations of preachers, priests, rabbis and educators. Dr. Mircea Eliade observed that the human brain was genetically hard-wired to seek the forces of spirituality independently from the social and environmental pressures exercised through the social contract.
