Units of Measurement

Meet Dorothy Fourteen she lives on a farm in Kansas and struggles with measurement in her daily life. One day, Dorothy is whisked away to Metric Land, where she meets a cast of colorful, mathematical characters. There she learns about the metric system and tools for measuring. Throughout the book, readers will learn with her as she measures length and distance, area, volume and capacity, mass and weight, and angles. At the conclusion of the adventure, readers will be invited to show what they know in a quick quiz and can then check their answers with a handy key.
