Beskrivelse
Undulations is Eddie Bell's fifth published collection and his most introspective work to date. The poems speak to his life in a beautiful, complex world filled with sensual pleasures and societal pain. It is primarily a book of poetry, but it also incorporates several brief narratives and floral images. Eddie finds peace and inspiration among his flowers.
The eclectic poems range widely from his appreciation of the natural environment to depicting the complex, societal realities of the American Black experience and their undulating effects on daily life. The visual presentation of Undulations is enhanced by the inclusion of remarkable work by a diverse group of talented professional artists. These pieces reflect their Ekphrasis response to his poetry.
His inspiration draws from various slices of life: walking and biking excursions, historical reference, politics, cultural explorations, race, social observation, and church.
