Martin Wagner returns to Berlin after two years working on the quiet town of Weißwasser, were he developed a new type of virtual reality terminal. In Berlin, he joins Maria, an expert on the inner workings of the world's largest virtual reality platform, DR. His new duties include monitoring the status of the server farms in the Conrad.

DR, however, has also become a target for those who dream about exploiting its capability of seeing three seconds into the future. What promised to be a boring job quickly becomes a difficult and dangerous puzzle to solve.
