The gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth is known as global warming. It also refers to the ongoing increase in global surface temperature which is happening primarily due to human activities. There are various adverse changes which are caused due to global warming such as extreme weather events, expansion of deserts, rising sea levels and irregular precipitation. Change in temperature is observed to be the most severe in the arctic region, which has subsequently led to the retreat of glaciers, sea ice and permafrost. The book aims to shed light on some of the unexplored aspects of global warming and the recent researches in this field. The topics included herein about this problem are of utmost significance and bound to provide incredible insights to readers.
