The book deals with the role of supervision in takeover law - a highly relevant topic both theoretically and practically. The reform oriented examination analyses the institutional supervisory framework and the powers of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority according to the German Securities Acquisition and Takeover Act. On this basis the book undertakes a comparative legal analysis of the supervisory structures of the United Kingdom, Austria and Switzerland thereafter setting the course for future German takeover supervision without losing sight of a possible European supervisory level.
