The multiple volumes of madrigals written by the great Claudio Monteverdi have been performed and recorded extensively. These two madrigals, Cruda Amarilli and Chiome D Oro, are very different in style and tempo. Each could be performed individually or together as a set. The vocal nature of the parts is perfect for the singing sound of the brass quintet.
